Your Giggles, Gawks, and Gasps Are Welcomed

Pretty Dirty Words is here to say fuck you to shame.
And to do it real pretty like.

Whether spoken in whispers or shouted in rage, these dirty words are, above all, are dirty secrets shrouded in shame.
My mission is to embrace these dirty words and take the sting of shame from them so that others might feel empowered to take the sting out of shame they feel themselves.

I bring these words from their dark, shameful corners and put them center stage.
To admire them.
To celebrate them.
To love them.

So eat your heart out, fuckers.

This Shit is Handmade

Everything you see here was designed with these hands.
If it was written, I drew out each letter.
If it was painted, it was on my easel.
If it was fucked up, well that was me too.

Sure, some things I need to send to specialists, like stamps and bags, but when I do, I make sure to have a personal relationship with those folks.
Pretty Dirty Words is so much more than curse words on a card.
It's an empowering practice to help me let go of my own shame and embrace myself.

All of these pieces of art are made by beautifully flawed humans doing amazingly beautiful work.
And I'm grateful to them all for their contributions to this work.

Keeping It Fucking Local

Just about everything I put dirty shit on was made or procured right here in the Pacific Northwest.

The coaster tiles are made one block from my studio at Pratt + Larson. They're printed by Kris at Magpie, who has a studio downstairs from mine!
It doesn't get much more local than that, folks.

John at Remarkable Stamps helps scale the dirty words on stamps. In my old neighborhood, Shelley and Paul giggle as they decorate tote bags at NightOwl Custom Apparel

I know these people personally. They all support the mission of Pretty Dirty Words.

The last thing I want to do is to contribute to Bezo's next dick rocket.

Got a Favorite Dirty Word?

Want to contribute your own favorite dirty word?
Better yet, want to put that dirty word on something?

Let's Talk!

There's only one simple "rule"

I won't create anything that is hateful or will make a person or group of people feel bad.
Offense to a curse word is one thing -- grow up, buttercup.
But if I need to explain the difference between the dirty words you see here and what a hateful word would be, then I don't believe we'll be working together.
